Americans are already docile and autistic and would much sooner fight amongst themselves than stand up to the government. They know they have a better chance of survival fighting each other than trying to actually take on the government, things like fluoride and soy isoflavones as well as mandated mercury based products and BPA everywhere have already made sure the majority are in autistic survival mode, lacking empathy similar to a sociopath and survival oriented, but just smart enough to know that it's much safer to fight their fellow americans then try to fight the government.

That seems to be all the control a government would ever need right there, the entertainment industry.
The control the money and the money is spent on entertainment, the mind controlling dumbing down kind. Some people that wouldn't normally be quite as stupid are pressured into partaking in the entertainment industry by their peers and as a result, end up more mindless and retarded than they were to begin with.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!
