Meh. Sounds like a cop-out. I suppose I get what you're saying, but I mean, it's like a magician saying he's a magician but never performing a trick, claiming he has performed MANY tricks. I can do that too. Tricks need validation. A few behind the scenes tricks are fun but if you die having done a bunch of tricks that nobody can attribute to you, your works are moot.

Why? Well, it's simple. Because the kid has a mother who doesn't care that the kid needs a father, and only cares about herself. There's your source of the problem right there. Take the selfish mother out of the situation and there wouldn't have been a problem at all with support or responsibilities.

If the mother of the child is not giving him proper access, and he never gets to see the child, and he is being labelled a mere "sperm donor" by that very same mother, he has no obligation whatsoever to provide any financial support. Basically, the mother is practically screaming that he is not the actual father, has no rights, and that she or the child has no need whatsoever of him. I would personally not give a cent to the mother of my child in such a situation. To the child directly? Absolutely. But how could he do that with the "mother" waiting to snatch it? Hey, if this "mother" thinks she's so self-sufficient and entirely capable, let HER finance the kid. After all, she's the one who is insisting the father has no rights or responsibilities.
