    To do it properly, you need dozens of different nicks coming in from all different IPs, all posting hundreds of threads each, for days and weeks on end. Then reg gets closed. Once reg gets closed, the BBS stagnates and petty infighting ramps up big time. Eventually, members start dropping like flies, because they don't want to waste their time clicking flamewars in every single thread they come across. The end result is a ghost town BBS.
