Gay post but I wish I had more of a relationship with my grandparents. From what I remember they were pretty cool, I took them for granted and they all died before I reached the age I could really appreciate them. My grandfather definitely tried to teach mebalot about history and about going hard at life. He took me to bookstores one time and told me to pick out a book and when I tried tonget goosebumps he was pissed. He was definitely the toughest 80 year old I've ever met and was more physically active than most adults. His wife is definitely the source of some of the mental illnesses that have befallen future generations of my family.
I'm just basically saying I wish I had a bigger reference point for history in a micro specific sense. All these kids now are raised by their 40 something grandparents or 60 something great grandparents so that might be good in some ways but obviously terrible in others.
I wonder if I'll be alive long enough to be a grandfather. My gut tell me no, but it's still a distinct possibility if I take better care if myself

When people say "Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires," they are talking about modern-day, loosely-defined empires such as the Soviet Union and the US, even though technically speaking these are not even empires. It is a misleading title because there is no truth in it. Had they called it a "graveyard of superpowers" then it would have at least been factual.

Some of us have jobs that require education so every dumb asshole doesnt over populate the particular job market. My main job requires a bachelors degree at mininum plus over 2 years full time at minimum on the job in addition to hundreds of hours of education courses and continuing education courses every 2 years.
Does that make it a debt trap? Not if the investment pays off in the long run. Pay now or pay later.

Due to the child sex charges he was deported back to Poland (where he had come from as a child with very little memory, but still worshipped as a sorta Slavic Nationalist (it's all pretty cringy) and proceeded to learn Polish and live with his mother) after a few laughable attempts at making websites, doing digital art, and writing, he resigned himself to his current userous lifestyle, supported by his mother.
