I had an interesting situation yesterday at work. We had an elderly man (87) come in with just about all the classic symptoms of Covid. The doc had me do a chest X-ray. He had a pneumonia. Covid usually manifests itself as pneumonia. My doc told him he needed to go to the ER for treatment.
I was in the room when he called his daughter on speaker, trying to figure out if her and her husband would pick him up and take him, or if they wanted to meet him at the hospital. His daughter sounded like a completely uninformed Fox News idiot. When he told her, she said, “I’ll have to wear a mask now.” She then went on to say, “they won’t give you hydroxychloriquine, you need hydroxychloriquine.” I spoke up and said, “sir there are many treatments they are using for Covid, hydroxychloriquine is not recommended for use.” She then immediately said, “they’re going to put you on a ventilator.” I said “sir that is not true, only the really bad cases go on a vent.” He told his daughter, “you have your opinions.” Her husband immediately took over the conversation and told the man they’d pick him up at his house.

i was de-admined from a TS/SCI 'experimental' network where i was the only admin..then the contractor had to come out and wipe the entire system before re-loading the software.

But me,I've never been legit homeless. A little bit of couch surfing for a week or two at a time back in the day is about it, and sleeping under a parking ramp stairwell one night was the only night I ever didnt sleep inside of a house/apt/hotel except for going camping of course.
I like the stories about people traveling abroad, roaming the land and living for really really cheap. I might end up doing that in the relatively near future.
