Nothing wrong with this. The story makes sense. The current James Bond is still going to be in the story it looks like. He's been filming for it. She's just taking over the role as main character. They're not turning James Bond into a girl, they're hiring a new one. Like adding Superwoman, or Batgirl. Like, this girl isn't going to be 'James Bond.' James Bond is still James Bond. But both are 007. Or at least Bond was till he went into exile, I guess.
This is different from movies like The Little Mermaid where they took a white, red-haired girl and turned her black. Not that James Bond has ever been the same. This will be the 13th Agent 007. If the story makes sense, why do you care if they change the main character up? It happens all the time. The difference here is that you read some pointed news story about it instead of actually looking at the story behind the film. -
