No it doesn't lol. You need to learn the difference between voltage and amps. I've used one in Taiwan where they use 110V. Few minutes and its done.
Most Americans have a more powerful hookup but its usually reserved for the laundry machine. You don't need 200+ volts for most things in your house. Thats why we have resistors and regulators to control voltage and not blow out our Kieregs and electric kettles.
