I keep seeing about "Project Reality" supposedly free and pretty good based off Battlefield 2 or something around there. I heard its so comm heavy you get kicked off a team for not checking in with your mic and shit. Which don't get me wrong I understand the need for communication in games, but when people feel the need to call out every little detail and spam comms and have to be team leader its annoying.

I'm pretty much just waiting on Squad to go on sale, I've been too damn curious watching videos to not experience what its like. Watch my computer run it like shit. PUBG used to run awesome for years, and now for some reason even on very low its laggy and shitty looking. Which is a shame because PUBG is probably my top 3 if not favorite game of all time. PUBG was everything I wanted in an fps, maybe a little less tactical than I'd like but a combination of Arma 3 and PUBG would be....ideal.

Arma 3 actually isn't bad if you can get past the initial clunkiness. Playing some unmodded, out of the box KOTH has had its moments. It's like the FOV is wider than most games or something so when you get on a hill or in a tower to snipe or look out, theres much more to look at and makes it harder to spot people. I get how its almost more fun in the planning and getting in position than the actual combat. But supposedly really accurate bullet tracing as well. I've had some shit sessions where I just die out of nowhere repeated, and some awesome encounters where I see some shit happening, rotate around and lay out a little squad from behind a shed or something.Anywho im rambling

I wish I had been there, you inspecting this outward smashed window with a look of confusion, and the African gentleman inside being all "HEY WATCH U DUNE UP N MY CHIT!" I would have probably luld

    I dunno tabletop simulator maybe

  6. eBagger Tuskegee Airman
Have you seen that tabletop game simulator? I saw a tiktok of it the other day. Seemed pretty cool, but then I just wish they were animated and more of an actual turn based game. But it does solve the problem of having to get together with actual friends that have room for boxes of shit and a giant game board in their garage.

you ooga booga ass niggas deserve to be banging on dem digital bongos yurd me?

This was supposed to be a thread of me gathering the greatest game developers NiS has to offer, and making a triple A title on a shoestring budget, yet it has devolved to rhythm games and SSBM hootery. I'll give more details later once I can articulate it and explain my vision. As lazy as I have felt lately even this post feels like an accomplishment.

TL:DR- Rhythm games are dope and do a great job making you feel like you're skillful and actually doing something. Almost as satisfying as playing a real instrument! (I know several )

I have fond memories of seeing "Bear Grylls". I wish I could remember posts better, my brain uses forums like internet cache, it immediately wipes it to make hard drive space. We probably didn't have beef, and I hope he is well.

Oh ok cool. I actually returned Tarkov because of a mixture of how it ran (Maybe when I upgrade rigs) and the slow pace (I usually like the feeling of weight in my games, but you move like your a fatass in heavy gravity) but its definitely a top tier extraction shooter. The entire looting and item value is inspiring as well. One of the things that makes a great game is when you have extensive amounts of items ranging from abundant and lame to rare and awesome.

    TL:DR

I do understand how difficult basic mods are, as I stated my relative experience. Which is why I was suggesting finding people who know how to do it and delegate. Or I could use one of those "Create a game easy!" basic ass template engines to even make something that resembles what I'm talking about.

I booted it up a few times, getting killed quickly and annoyed. But I was determined to have a good game, and KOTH was actually pretty fun the other day. I'm trying to get past the clunky gameplay one feels when coming from more arcade shooters. I am installing various mods at the moment, there is a PUBG mod that needs a shitload of other mods. I haven't really played any of the campaign, but I'm surprised it took this long to play Arma 3. Its basically like Operation Flashpoint, which I always touted as an amazing game for its time, except with proper multiplayer and a shitload of content.

Like I still don't know what Antistasi is but it seems fun if its perpetual war with different factions trying to take over, both AI and PVP I believe.

    TL:DR

I bought Arma 3 after being disappointed with most games. PUBG runs like shit on my rig current day for some reason, runs worse every update, and gameplay feels like it goes downhill with every year that passes.

I've been interested in making a game ever since I started playing Counter Strike forever ago. It seemed like such a simple and effective use of the source engine for quick, competitive fun.

I know there isn't enough time for me to learn an engine or programming language, but I understand game development. Little experience coding and messing with player character models and textures in 3D studio max like 20 years ago, but experience none the less.\

How hard is it to get on fiver or find some skilled but cheap game developers out of work to put my ideas to work and just modify a current engine? Because with games like PUBG and Arma 3 and the like, all the tools are there for me to imagine what I am imagining, but actually putting it into motion, I have no clue.

I've been inspired by games such as Factorio and Satisfactory where Logistics are an incredibly satisfying gameplay mechanic. And no I haven't played Foxhole, but that is almost the closest I can think of what I am picturing. And of course I wouldn't just describe it to you, because its a genius idea and you'd just say "Wow I'm going to make this game with these incredible mechanics the highly intelligent eBagger is describing".

So yeah if you are a game developer or are familiar with coding games shoot me a DM or something and I can make you rich beyond your wildest dreams (I am so poor if I bought Foxhole I wouldn't be able to eat for 2 weeks) but that starving drive to make something excellent...sounds familiar doesn't it? Thats right, its the beginning to every success story ever. Now do the right thing, and help me make this tower defense/economic/strategic/FPS Battle royale/Perpetual war game.

That middle photo is why I haven't put much time in, I hate when you make steady progress on games and then random events cause a shitstorm. Like I'm willing to deal with the downsides of PVP for it to be natural and blatant. But that's why I usually turned off natural disasters on Sim City, and turn on Peaceful mode in Factorio.

I built a shitty base in the middle of W6 near fishing village on Icefuse.net 5x .Found some scarecrows and spooky fences for Halloween. Will probably just fortify it with all current materials and forget about it just so people waste sulfur trying to raid.

Dude how can somebody be Islamaphobic. Unless one is buying into propaganda against Muslims, of which there is plenty. I know why Christians think its all weird with the Hajibs and the language, but one must have an open mind.

Did you guys know Muslims have an app? Not like a Bible equivalent of the Quran, but like an actual active religion app. It opens a compass and tells you what direction you should be facing to pray. It has 5 alarms I didn't know about, and my phone kept Allah Akbaring me at random times of the day (Not random, prayer times), and since I still have alot to learn, I just face the Quibla and quote Sir-Smoke Alot "Allah...if you listenin....HELP!" Of which Allah is merciful, patient, and has a good sense of humor. I will learn the actual prayer in time. But when you pray that often, you are just more aware in general, like any good habit, to give thanks that you've survived this long, hopefully happy, healthy, fed, and shelter. Nothing is taken for granted.

You'll feel a lot more inspired when you're reading something not of Trojan Horse variety, telling you to turn the other cheek of your enemies. Imagine that NOT being written by enemies back then. Sounds like something career criminals would embrace to the fullest.

It turns life into an actual RPG, and I'm farming Muslim points. The funny thing is, it's quite similar in morality to Christianity, they just seem to ACTUALLY be about it. And the more you think about lives in actual terms of faith, Christianity feels like "Boy this is convenient we can do whatever the fuck we want even partake in usury and drink liquor hell yeah"

I wanna play Foxhole now. I remember I looked into foxhole a while back and it looked dope and then I forgot about it. Might wait for it to go on sale but the logistical parts of gameplay look interesting.

The family friendly part is just bringing your kids and letting them scream and run around with nothing to do. No games. No fun.

No games! No fun! I think you just found their new slogan.

I suggest a suggestion box at the front of the Bar/Family Dining Establishment/Anti-pool-hall. Where perhaps families can suggest fun and games and give you plans to build a cornhole set out back with the tiki torches. You do have tiki torches right?

SQUAD looks lit, however I was about to make a thread suggesting MINI ROYALE its free right now Army men toys battle royale. It's okay.

I've heard Hell Let Loose might be more for you if you don't find Squad appealing.

A lot of these pros follow very mathematical formulatic approach to it all, akin to counting cards in blackjack.

If you play every hand the exact same way you're "supposed to" and follow pot odds and such, you'll always come out marginally ahead. I don't have time for that shit so I still just play recklessly and hope for the best.

But yeah there were a few games where I would have pocket aces like three times within ten hands which is absurd, and then one game where I literally went 28 hands in a row without getting an ace or face card. That was when I knew it was fucky. The odds of that IRL are beyond astronomical even if you played all day every day for decades, let alone me experiencing it after a week of playing for the first time in years.

I forgot to say though $500 nice job tho. I'd be exhausted, I get mentally taxed just playing with fake chips in multi-table replay poker tables. Yeah that does sound fishy. Remember when I played with you when I was poor with chips and you casually went all-in with like 50k and lost it and I was like OMG

The online casinos like Roobet and Stake are fun af too but same rules apply. I turned $10 into like $110 with that "Multiply cash X 1.2% every second but lose it all if don't cashout" game but then it was just too much god damn fun and I lost it all. Man lame ass gambling laws I wanna gamble in RL right now!
