that's cool. Grants Pass is dangerous in the winter months. I saw a documentary on how they close it down for a reason. but in the summer months it must be beautiful. especially when you get to the coast I'm sure.
I havn't been to oregon in probably 38 years now. Last place was my first trip up to Portland and then onto Seattle for a few days.
as a matter of fact, Mt St Helens had blew just 3-4 months prior. So that summer of 1980. I think MT St Helen blew May of 1980. it was a few months afterwards. it dumped shitloads of ash onto Yakima Valley I'm told. We went through the valley and it was all gone by then.. or blended in with the rain and soil. beautiful area. looks kind of like a desert but thick with small trees. then we went back south to the bay area. -
