Does he want this just for general security? I installed a cheap five camera system on my home and the picture quality varies. If they are install outside expect a few camera failures the cheap ones are not all that weather tight I've replaced three so far and the system is only three years old. My next system is going too kick ass,I'm just waiting for the hard drive in current setup to shit the bed.
