Let me preface this by saying i don't do anything related to Mac or iOS but to the best of my understanding you had to click the link in order for you to be infected. But once you did you were fucked, i read they employed three 0day exploits to auto jelbrek any iOS powered system that they targeted. A single 0day is impressive but Pegasus uses three to set up the jailbreaking process and install the necessary modules for spying on you.
I read that Chrysaor is an Android fork from the same devs but they got lazy(Or spent all their 0day pocket money) and they use normal functionality to spy on you if get the Android variant. In fact if they can't root the device they'll just politely ask for permission, lol.
The moral of this story is don't click links ever. Unless you run Windows as day to day OS, then you're probably wormed into oblivion already.
