The only reason manufacturing in the US was viable at all for Levi's was because they positioned themselves as the more premium jeans. But nobody in the US will pay premium for Levi's jeans when they can buy very high quality jeans from Gap for half the price. It's not about being able to afford Levi's, it's about Levi's being completely uncompetitive. -

In fact, that's precisely why I have the empathy for them that I do (note: even though I feel like it goes without saying, I'm going to specify anyway just in case, empathy does not imply moral acceptance).
It sounds like, if you desire gummi worms in the same way that I desire alcohol, or so-called "kidfuckers" sexually desire children, then it sounds like we're pretty much on the same page.
We share a certain degree of understanding (not moral acceptance, of course, just an understanding of the underlying compulsion).
In kind of trying to talk to you beyond that compulsion, that's my entire point.
The core difference between me eating Gummi worms for breakfast or you getting drunk, and kidfucking, is that were only harming ourselves. -
