They aren't really tricky in a complex synthesis sense but all of them at any stage tend to use some really gnarly shit which is probably why it's limited to just being made in China or shithole countries

There are no laws against producing such a compound as far as I know. Or at least An analog compound of the cyclopyrrolone class could be perfectly legal to make. Its not a very popular drug of abuse (I had a bottle for so long it expired) I've never heard much about analogs but I'm actually curious now if any of them are easy to make because this doesn't look very difficult overall
I haven't read the entire patent how to make it but so far I haven't seen anything majorly toxic or hard to get. There's probably a reason literally nobody makes this stuff though, you could buy slightly different chemicals and just make benzos instead (but that's probably actually illegal)
Never heard of a benzo lab getting busted anywhere outside China though so who knows. I heard of a Xanax manufacturer in north America they POSTED A FUXKING YOUTUBE VIDEO of their setup and were cackling maniacal laughter while the machine at the end of a Rube Goldberg looking setup of flasks and beakers was spitting out PRESSED FAKE XANAX and Pink Floyd's MONEY playing in the background among a whir of machine noises and the video ends shortly after the narrator going "CHA CHING $1 CHA CHING $2 CHA CHING" every time the pill press spat out a pill
