This is a BAD combination. It is the primary reason I quit opiates entirely.
I think the only condition in which I might reconsider going back on them, is if I had a literally infinite supply of either opiates or money to buy said opiates.
Withdrawals may not kill you, but damn sometimes you will wish they would.
Yeah. I wouldn't condone opiates unless medically necessary tbh, but I do think they should be available for harm reduction purposes.
Whenever you say 'they're physically safe' tho, people lose their shit. -

It fucking amazes me how ignorant some people can be when it comes to classifying drugs as "better for you" or "worse for you."
A debate I used to get into all the time, but have long since given up on, is the alcohol vs heroin debate (in terms of damage to the body).
So few people realize that alcohol is significantly more damaging to the body than opiates. Opiates are essentially benign to the body, in and of themselves.
Sharing needles is obviously dangerous and unhealthy.
Using heroin with unknown cuts in it always carries risks (e.g.: fentanyl).
But if you just compare them side by side and the negative effects they have on the body, alcohol is fucking poison compared to opiates.
I used to argue this all the time when I was an opiate addict. I've been free of opiates for four years now, and I have not changed my position one bit.
I literally drink, to the point of drunkenness, every single night.
Yet I never do opiates.
But RATIONALLY speaking, opiates are FAR less damaging healthwise.
But it's legal, so try convincing anyone of that.
I do this every opportunity I get lol. Opiates are crazy safe when done right. Literally the only long term side effects are complications due to constipation (which, just take some fucking magnesium you're set) and lowered testosterone levels in men. But that takes a long time to happen.
But opiates are unregulated so unless you're getting it from a doctor, you can't trust that shit. It can be a very dangerous game. But it could be a pretty safe one too :( -

I've had to convince an entire group of people before that Robitussin didn't contain codeine. They thought lean was just cough syrup. I was the only one who'd done bundy or opiates out of the group lol. I didn't manage to convince them either. They probably still think that shit. One of them is actually horrendously schizophrenic and does shit like try to communicate with ethereal beings.
He was oddly realistic about it though. I asked him if the demons ever spoke back to him when he did his rituals. They didn't, but he just kept doing it hoping they would lol. -

Really cool that you can trace your ancestry back that far though. I've never checked to see mine. I figure that my family is full of immigrants and 1800's Mexico probably wasn't too great on keeping records.
