I Thanked you for your honesty.
The thing is, it just so happens that one of the electives I took when I was earning my bachelor's degree was, specifically EARLY Canadian history.
I don't know a damn thing about the 1900's in Canada, but I do know a heck of a lot about what was going on during initial colonization (at least, what I remember from a course I took like almost a decade ago).
I also learned a bit about it by researching my family tree. I can actually trace lineage (with documented evidence) back eleven generations to one of Samuel de Champlain's buddies/compatriots, who also happens to be an ancestor to the singer Madonna. Heck, he's spawned like hundreds of thousands of descendants lol.
He was a fellow by the name of Marin Boucher, and he was born in Normandy, France in 1589 and died in 1671 in Quebec. -
2018-12-01 at 2:33 AM UTCIt's that French fuck Macron who is leading the new world order globalists' charge, too. A total sellout to the human race.

I don't.find it necessary to yell others what I think they need. I believe it is a valuable life lesson to allow other adults to make their own choices and devisions.
Cheers😇

2018-12-01 at 2:47 AM UTCFor the record, I don't identify even remotely as French Canadian. That line of ancestry is very thin.
If I had to claim an ethnicity, it would be your average North American mixture of European ancestors from just about all over.
I'm a mutt. -

Lol I know a lot about 1800's America. Probably where that number came from, though I was trying to pick at random.
Really cool that you can trace your ancestry back that far though. I've never checked to see mine. I figure that my family is full of immigrants and 1800's Mexico probably wasn't too great on keeping records.
What service did you use? -

Mostly Ancestry.com, but I did do some secondary research to make a few of the connections that go as far back as the 1500's.

Ancestry.com is super useful, especially because you can kinda piggy back sometimes on a whole lot of research done by some distant cousin you never even knew you had. You just need to first connect your tree to their tree.
Unfortunately, a lot of nations held poor official records of births, deaths, marriages, etc.
Interestingly, though, for whatever reason, the early French settlers were incredibly meticulous with their record keeping.
It's the only reason I managed to go back so far along that line.
I only got back a few generations with most of grandparents.
And I have one grandparent, my paternal grandmother (father's mother) on whom I have ZERO record, since the was adopted). That line may always remain a mystery. :( -
