all these people are dysfunctional in different ways though. Political ideology isn't necessarily about intelligence. Really stupid people are conservative and really stupid people are liberal, in roughly the same numbers. I used to think conservatives were really stupid during the Bush years because the reasons people were using for conservatism seemed stupid. Now the reasons people espouse either ideology seem very stupid.
