all these people are dysfunctional in different ways though. Political ideology isn't necessarily about intelligence. Really stupid people are conservative and really stupid people are liberal, in roughly the same numbers. I used to think conservatives were really stupid during the Bush years because the reasons people were using for conservatism seemed stupid. Now the reasons people espouse either ideology seem very stupid. Everything seems stupid now and the preferable thing is not to trust anyone so really anyone who puts any stock in any politician and their word is a complete dumbfuck. Thank you fuck everything

liberal and conservative are like sports teams, people latch on to one or the other because it sort of suits their ideology - sure you have to toe the line on some retarded shit you don't care about but otherwise you're stuck with the 20 or so anarcho-primitivists or technocratic-communists you actually do align with and have no political capital whatsoever
