its comical when they don't have an empire or any say in really anything in the world they want to act holier than thou. Britain seems go go through periods like this like Margaret thatchers rolling back social programs and unions in the 80s and that worked kinda well because she had Frederick Hayek helping her. a lot of times bail is determined by the judge who doesn't have an intimate knowledge of the suspects financial situation. a good lawyer would have worked out a plan and coordinated with the crown.
why would he be searched for not having a fucking ticket? transit officers can't even legally search you. Sometimes there will be a pig hanging around the station but they still can't search you for municipal bylaw infractions -
