The piggy palace was so covered up I'm surprised it made Wikipedia. Bikers and cops used to hang there and it was the source of alot of the bodies. I remember it had to be formally shut down because of the heat but the cops tipped him off years before his arrest. The 3 or 4 year long public inquiry after the trial SEALED evidence related to the bikers and cops who would go through piggys palace and still havent been released
Foreigners don't know but most of the victims came from east hastings: the poorest postal Code in Canada and biggest open air drug market (big reason why all drugs are decriminalized in BC now) where cops try innovative tactics to "clean the streets up." Without a doubt many of the women were picked up by police and told they were taken somewhere they could get clean (evidence of people who stayed on the farm and other street people testified to this at trial) where Willie killed them and fed their bodies to his pigs.
There was a serial killer with a pig farm charged with 26 1st degree murders and convicted of 6 second degree murders because the jury was 200% convinced he had help. But nothing was ever followed up on after they had their weirdo fall guy. It's the northern equivalent of the Atlanta child murders -

And i was like "only a cpl days to a week" knowing it would be gone quickly and she was all tripped out because it was bloodshot and either way it'd look like she was hanging around a guy which was not allowed at the beat up woman's house.

That was my original point, that elected officials have little control over those things, and very few even try

Can you think of any net positive outcomes of foreign policy under Trump? I liked the spirit of the China trade rhetoric but he obviously had no idea what he was getting into. Steve menuchin probably helped him abit but it fell on its face and failed, only really hurting Americans. I guess that's the problem when u make moves on your own accord: you don't get good advice and frequently end up fucking up. The courts seemed to be the one place where he didn't have issues changing the guard -

He tried to minimise involvement in Syria and Iraq but was undermined by his own cabinet and military.
He tried to end the occupation of Afghanistan but kind of fucked it up, even if he were 'allowed' to. Again, the military did what it wanted and later openly bragged about feeding him false information and playing 'shell games' with troop numbers.
He tried to normalise relations with Russia but was undermined by the entire state and media apparatus.
He fucked up a whole lot of things too, but the point wasn't that it was necessarily a change for the better, but that it took an outsider to do ANYTHING different.
You can't really give his credit for "trying" something when he failed and you really can't know someone's complete motivations, you can just Guage the results. He did end thr occupation of Afghanistan after taking the initiative to put mote troops there. Least he spent alot less time bombing weddings in Yemen.
Didn't Jimmy Carter bomb Honduras or Guatemala or some shit? You can't give Trump credit for continuing the same policies but assuming he tried not to. His doctrine was less meddling in other countries but he definitely continued in alot of ways. Wars have ebb and flow, Trump allowed this to continue before completely fucking up the exit.
He did seem to try to normalize relations with Moscow, to really nobodies benefit but Russia which was a departure in policy. Hardly an amazing and brave move, especially in hindsight. I guess we can agree he made some slight variations (like all presidents do) in foreign policy but I can't think of one foreign policy decision that was a net gain for America/the world other than tearing up the TPP on his first day in office. -

Originally posted by Steven One of the first things he did in office, like days in, was stop legal residents from 'Muslim countries" from returning to their homes, families, jobs, etc. Biden had to reverse it. It split up families.
He's a straight up racist.
Included Venezuela too. That was pretty retarded for sure. It's not like every other president hasn't been racist as well though. Bill Clinton famously told Arsenio Hall to get on his knees and shine his shoes before he would appear on his show -

I initially thought Donald Trump was crooked af but after all the scrutiny he's been under and having nothing stick I've surmised he's one of the more legitimate billionaires in the US at this moment. Do you think Bill g8s or anyone else would stand up after being audited, home raided, phones tapped etc etc etc? Somehow Trump is still kicking and for all intents and purposes untouchable -

Originally posted by aldra real power is largely unelected and unaccountable (to the people they're meant to represent). foreign policy, monetary policy, economic policy - they're effectively dictated by central banks, the Federal Reserve, groups like the Council for Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, Chatham House etc.,
you can shout freedom all you want but it doesn't change the fact that Trump was the only recent US president to wander from what's been essentially the same foreign policy since WWII… and look how he was treated for it.
How was Trump much different from predecessors? He was less droney than oBOMBa but expanded troops in Afghanistan, continued operations in Syria and Iraq, gave Kim Jung Un a ton of clout and legitimacy, started a "trade war" with China that hurt the US more than ch8na and still needs subsidizing.
He didn't start any new wars but there's nothing he did that was revolutionary. He actually showed a distinct inability to understand regional issues to do withbforeign policy. He made provocative moves in favor of Israel and turned his back on the Kurds. Is there anything I'm missing about how shitty he was at foreign policy? Non interventionalism (if that's a word) is all good and all but the world is dynamic and by all accounts the US has lost both hard and soft power.
It's pretty hard to sell people on the idea of giving up democracy just because it makes a country weaker internationally. I really don't see how Trump was much different from anyone else either besides his laughable rhetoric about fire and fury. Rawr -

He filed a copyright claim after I downloaded and reuploaded it on my account.
Very cringey.
I suspect his disappearance was him moving somewhere else.
I thought that was a play he wrote given how bad the acting and stage direction was. ARE U REWRITING HISTORY? WHATS TRUE?
