My friend told me there was azov battalion merchandise on Amazon but I searched Amazon.ca and couldn't find it and am too lazy to search all country codes so I guess I'll just have to make my own

He made his boring shitposts interesting and invented his own vernacular (not that I know what that word means)

The whole spelling "conservative" wrong for months and editing yoyr posts after getting called on it thing was pure comedy genius too

I could be wrong but Larry David very much feels like he’s playing himself and being completely obnoxious in true to form character which is why I think he’s the richest of them all 💁🏻‍♀️

Larry the Cable guy is super inauthentic. I think he was a theater major or something. The definition of fake and gay. Larry the David guy is a neurotic super j00 whose family used to own slaves. His comedy is pretty derived from woody Allen but ALOT of comedy is after all. I'm sure he's a bit of a prick too and there are alot of ad libbed scenes in curbed. George Costanza is obviously based on him too so there's definitely some truth to his neurosis. I remember hearing someone who he worked with talk about how Larry David was neurotic and petty but still a pretty nice guy. He took to LA like a fish to water while the good, righteous God fearing men like Lanny head east.

Lanny and I had this conversation as well and he tried to make the same exact argument except he used Jeff Foxworthy (who btw is worth 100 million and so is Larry the Cable Guy-Jeff Dunham is worth 140), to which I argued, at some point early on in these comedian’s careers some of their schticks were funny for the time or to some people. Humor is subjective. They create a formula, gain a following within a certain demographic, and become rich/famous. The schtick never evolves though and society/humor does, so most of them fall off. Even Larry David had a very predictable routine that got a little worn out within Curb around season 5/6 but I still think his writing is phenomenal/clever.

That’s all to say the video I posted wasn’t even meant to be humorous lol. It’s just Susie berating men, but I am definitely used to Speedy missing all the points.

Holy shitsnax I was literally going to lump Jeff Foxworthy with the others I mentioned but submitted he's alot smarter, Savvier and more astute than he let's on. Even his stand up has evolved alot over the years but he still strives to be relatable. He capitalized on his "dumb redneck" persona to become a prime time game show host where he pretended to be dumb but actually came across alot smarter than Regis Philbman. I've seen a bunch of different Foxworthy routines over the years and he kinda plays to his audience. At "just for laughs" he knew his southern redneck stuff wouldn't work so he talked about liberal parenting skills because he knew quebecois are super liberal parents.

The first time I heard of Larry the Cable guy was when David cross started a comedian beef with him in like 2003 or something and wrote him an open letter tearing him up for being a one trick pony. David Cross has never really had universal appeal and I believe part of thr letter made fun of him for being rich and from Connecticut while Cross is from Atlanta and has much more genuine blue collar street cred.

That's kinda the thing about comedy; it's got to have universal appeal to be relevant, and make people laugh en masse at the right times, or else it's all just super subjective (which it kinda still is) and will be forgotten. That's why when someone's friend tells them "omg ur so funny u should do standup" chances are they aren't, they're just good with their specific audience. I kinda want to do standup someday and get a half decent reaction and also bomb

He was a dynamic and hilarious poster. Sometimes when I'm depressed I read his old threads and they cheer me up. I hope he is peaceful and free wherever he is.

Jeff Dunham has alot of money tho. And Larry the bummyguy or whatever. Lawrence David created Seinfeld tho which captured a moment of the cultural zeitgeist and curb has some good writing. I think it's just a little too fast for ol Speedy here.

I would love a list of his top 3 comedy movies. I bet it's police academy 1,2 and 3
