I did two semester's worth of practicums at St. Louis City Jail (the old one that was located at 124 So. 14th St.) back in the mid 70's. The first semester I worked with the social workers mostly interviewing inmates, etc. Met some real interesting characters. I think my favorite was the guy who robbed the City Police Dept. payroll. What a set of balls on that guy.
The second semester I worked with an ex-inmate working with him in a transactional analysis program.
