Absolutely fucking nobody is overthrowing the government without also controlling the military. So what does the right to own guns really matter? You aren't overthrowing the government. You aren't going to be protecting your free speech with guns. This is idealistic John Locke shit that does not apply to the 21st century.
Guns are exclusively for self defense, hunting/sport, and murder. That's what people use guns for. And the only reason you need them for self defense is because guns are legal in the first place. No guns, no reason to own one for self defense.
