Protests that turn into riots have nothing to do with stopping the electoral process. That was the plan, to just stop the electoral count since pence wasn’t going to take the fake electors. If they could have stopped it, there would have been ongoing conflicting discussions on supposed election fraud, that would have held up the process, and it may have never resumed. That was the plan, give trump more time to discredit our election. Had they succeeded they would have denied every voter their voice in democracy.

So I’m sorry you don’t see a difference, but the two are not the same.
