Can you really "prevent" anything though. Like that Stoneman Douglass shooting, the guy got reported to the FBI multiple times and they did nothing. Even if they did try to do intervene there is nothing you can do to stop someone if they really want to commit a violent act.
I think people would be less willing to act out violently in a society with less censorship and cancel culture where you could speak your opinion without being shamed, but our society is extremely toxic and I think it fuels the hate. Things weren't always this bad and i've only started to notice it the more the world becomes censored and PC.
Well, they managed to prevent the governor of Michigan from being kidnapped. Many terror plots are foiled due to prevention. You can’t just sit back and watch it happen. -

Too many times our country has witnessed mass shootings. Afterwards everyone says how can we prevent this? Then nothing is done to prevent it. There’s a fine line between prevention and reaction. -
