The absolute worst meds for inducing all day fatigue as a side effect are antipsychotics.

I've also been prescribed mirtrazapine the past few months (in conjunction with the prozac), and I noticed some fatigue during the day.

But, after having been prescribed seroquel (which is even more fatigue-inducing / energy draining), and even olanzapine (FUCKING NEVER AGAIN!!!!1 - that shit made me sleep for 16 hours, and then barely be able to muster the energy to stand up to go the bathroom, let alone DO ANYTHING WHATSOEVER productive).

I DO NOT envy schizophrenics who have to take that stuff DURING THE DAY.

So, I have been alive for 12,605 days now.

So far, every single one of those 12,605 days has been followed by a sequence of nighttime (where there is no sun to be seen).

However, I am fairly confident that the sun will return tomorrow.

    Why is that?

I can't say with absolute certainty that such will be the case.

But I can safely assume that it will.

Science is all about drawing probabilistic conclusions. Everybody is a "scientist" of sorts. I have not personally measured the distance to the sun, nor have I studied it's orbits in any detailed capacity. But I have collected 12,605 data points, and henceforth draw probabilistic conclusions from those data points.

Measuring climate change, as any other area of inquiry does, follows the exact same line of reasoning.

The special and general theories of relativity are, at the end of the day, still theories.

E=mc^2 might be an entirely antiquated obsolete mathematical model at some point in the future.

This whole notion that we use consensus in some areas of science and not others is just totally incorrect.

How, exactly, is science a joke?

    Ah, a completely non-falsifiable statement.

At least we know you're not a scientist.

Yes. The answer to that question, exactly as stated, is a most certain yes.

I only have pics of myself from years ago. I hate being in pictures.

Anyway, I might dig something out later on if enough other people do it too.

Oh, and the reason I was prescribed them was, incidentally, not for depression, but for OCD.

It's supposed to be somewhat effective in some cases for OCD when taken in higher doses.

I have taken a variety over the years, but recently gave them the good ol' college try and sustained a high dose of fluoxetine (Prozac) for almost two full years.

I only recently started tapering, though, because any improvements were kinda subtly and lacking, whereas the negative side effects were a lot more impactful.

I just did a cost-benefit analysis and decided to taper.

(BTW: ALWAYS taper with SSRI's... You get some really weird and scary symptoms if you don't.)

It's been so long for me I couldn't really speak too much to any subtle variations in quality.

Interestingly, though, I have yet to (but never will at this point) try black tar heroin.

Mine always came in powder form (ranging from dark brown to nearly white).

Infinityshock is clearly a Rhodes scholar.

The highest echelons of MENSA turned him down only out of humility and deference.
