There's no reason not to do a podcast and see what it sounds like. You might have to spend a little money on a decent mike, and spend a little time getting used to editing, getting your levels right, recording skype conversations, and not leaving lots of dead air lying around. -

And all rich areas of the world are sort of the same, the same cosmopolitan, plastic culture.
For instance I feel comfy just about anywhere in France, and felt perfectly at home in the rich parts of Nairobi. OTOH I felt like getting going around the country was kind of an adventure. I had never met truly poor people before that. OTOH my family flipped out at me because it was dangerous.
I want to go to Egypt next, as soon as I can get some money together. It just looked so amazing from the plane. -

Fucking leave it alone. Tightening restrictions to pain meds is only going to hurt those that legitimately need them, those that are using recreationally will just switch to heroin and the death rate increases further
People almost always get addicted to drugs because their life sucks in some way or other. It's probably not a coincidence that drug use is highest amongst the poor, the uneducated, the socially marginalised, those who live in shithole areas, and other people who have had a rough break in life.
Some psychologists have even suggested that there is no such thing as alcoholism, or even addiction at large, it's just a coping mechanism and a way of trying to find a sense of self and a unique sense of importance.
Social programs to address people's root causes of their unhappiness is a sensible approach to reducing addiction and reducing overdose deaths.
This is even more important as opiates is mostly a problem amongst whites, who are the most valuable people to a state. -
