Is it feasible to buy another, identical TV, switch the panels, and return the TV and say it was broken when we got it? The screen has no obvious signs of damage when turned off.

As far as wiring goes, just strip off some of the insulation and twist on some wires. It's very easy, you shouldn't over-stress it. You can just use any adapter, just wrap the wires around the prongs and tape/zip tie/hot glue them in place. -

It's hard when a girl interprets your weird sense of humour as some sort of unattractive mental illness.
In fairness I have dumped girls for all sorts of lame excuses. Most of them were to do with myself. In fact, ff they had written back saying "you don't need to dump me, I'll still love you no matter what" then things would have been very different.
For instance, I don't feel confident asking this girl out as I am currently technically unemployed. Not a huge deal, as I have sought after skills, but it still annoys me. -
