   As for South Africa really? They have 4 frigates, 3 diesel submarines, and 2 "warrior" class strike ships which are basically small coast guard ships. None of which are blue water capable due to a lack of support or logistic vessels and other limitations. In 1652 the Dutch started what became Capetown. The indigenous residents had no navy in 1652, brown or blue other than small coastal fishing vessels. Any naval presence to this day in South Africa is not due to the efforts of Africans. I am not being racists these are just historical fact.
