Try again you dumb cuntQuestion
Adept, adapt, or adopt?
Answer
Shin Chen from China asked for help with the words adept, adapt, and adopt.
These three words look and sound almost exactly alike, which is why they are so confusing.
The only difference is the vowel in the middle. If you want to hear the differences in pronunciation, go to the Learner's Dictionary entries for these words, and click on the red speaker icons.
In other ways, these words are not similar. Adept is an adjective, and the other two are verbs. And their meanings are different. Adept means "good at doing something." Adapt means "to change for a new situation." Adopt usually means "to take something legally as your own." They are described in more detail below.

Maybe stop humanizing animals. Cats are great but they really only see us as an easy resource.

Its working, just keep getting the odd blips here and there. Its just the Youtube Vs Adblock battle, most of the time its barely half a day maybe once or twice a week. And this is only been happening for a couple of months. And as this fred has revealed there are other options that would take a few minutes to install, if it continues then I will.
Tell us how much do you pay in subscriptions every month in total?
How much you think you'll be paying per month in 5 years?
Now multiply that by 60

It's like arguing it's dumb to pay for internet when you can go sit in the library and use it for free…
Its the equivalent of being paid $168 a year for just 5 minutes of labour. That's a pretty good gig if you ask me.

2024-06-10 at 3:39 PM UTC in AdBlock not working on Youtube?Personally I think paying $168 a year for fuck all you couldn't get easily for free makes you the biggest mug, no matter how much you got.

2024-06-10 at 3:37 PM UTC in AdBlock not working on Youtube? So you figured you'd come into a fred of people who use adblock to try and convince them to pay $14 for exactly the same as what they already get for nothing?
Or are you just trying to say "hey everyone, look at me, I'm riiiich"?
Wanker lol

2024-06-10 at 3:34 PM UTC in Nearly half of journalists covering climate crisis globally received threats for their worklol look what I just found
Does the carbon dioxide released from fizzy drinks affect the atmosphere?
Curiosity bubbling over for this one. The CO2 released from your soda is a fraction of our own emissions.
Fizzy drinks do release carbon dioxide (CO2), but this pales in comparison with overall human CO2 emissions. A can of pop contains 2-3g of CO2 – a tiny proportion of the six tonnes of CO2 per year (or 17kg per day) that the average person in the UK is responsible for.
What’s more, the CO2 pumped into carbonated drinks is usually a by-product from power plants – meaning it would have been released into the atmosphere anyway.
"Don't worry that one can you drink every year is nothing compared to your entire yearly footprint"
Do they think nobody even thinks anymore lol

My guess is the ad agencies are figuring this shit out and directing them to take measures against it to ensure their ads get watched.

2 grams of CO2 in a can.
Coca-Cola sell 2 billion units per day(many being larger bottles)
Pepsi with their entire range of soft drinks sell double that
Do the math, and that's just Pepsi and Coke

2024-06-10 at 1:37 PM UTC in AdBlock not working on Youtube?Noticing they don't keep the text on the screen to the end of the ad now so as to make it harder to see where the ad ends by hovering the timeline. And can't remember the last time I saw one of those little gaps in the timeline showing where the ad ends. They wising up lol

I'm not paying for summing that adblock gives me for free. And just as with adblock anyway, YT premium isn't going to skip all the content providers own ads they're putting in more and more now. And getting more creative so as to make it harder to skip them too might I add.
