I'd recommend the obvious and proven choices: 5-HTP, melatonin, and valerian root. A combination of all three is certain to make you sleepy. Cyclobenzaprine, often prescribed for muscle spasms, makes me sleep like someone slapped my head with a brick.
As far as undisturbed 6-8 hours of sleep, I'd recommend you start a heavy exercise routine. Incorporate it into your daily schedule whenever you can. The added physical exhaustion will help you sleep.
Background noise whether it be a fan, Rainy Mood (my favorite) or whatever, helps.
Finally, get into a specific pattern. Go to bed at a certain time every night whether you are sleepy or not. Make your body get into that rhythm. An hour before bed, get under the covers, dim the lights, and do some light reading. Preparing for sleep is just as much physical as it is mental. Avoid smartphones, tablets, etc.
