most people do it the wrong way round. they figure they should get married, like aspire to it coz society says so or summing. then they start looking for somebody to get married to. often they'll set all sorts of conditions that they'll expect their future spouse to live up to. obviously that perfect person will be near impossible to find and then they'll end up settling for the closest they can find before its 'too late'. you should just get on with life and if or when you meet somebody that you truly feel that close to, and then feel like marriage is the way for you both, then go for it. anything other than that is doomed to either failure or a lifetime of settling for second best and prolly being miserable for most of your life.

dunno if any of you remember on zoklet when i went down to cornwall. i posted pix of that big old derelict house i squatted in during the summer. the house was huge, had about 30 rooms that were all stripped out and some major work had been started on the place and then abandoned. i was just staying in one of the rooms upstairs that was still intact, but i had to go all through the house and up a big stair case to get to it. this big room i had to go through to get to the stairs had half the floor missing and a good 10 foot drop into what was the basement below. one night i'd been fishing till about 1am and came back later than usual and it was pretty eerie just walking up the driveway to the house. when i was walking through the room with no floor i was using one of those lighters with the mini flashlight built into it to see, so i didn't fall through the floor. as i neared the doorway to where the stairs was i pointed the light toward the door and could make out a little boy of about 10 just standing there really weird and not moving. obviously i realized that there was no fucking way any little boy was in that house at that time of night. it creeped me the fuck out until i got nearer and realized it was the post at the bottom of the stair rail that had this round wooden ball shaped thing on top of it, lol. i don't believe in ghosts but for a few seconds the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck and everything while i considered the possibility i was wrong.

when we were kids the cops used to go to this house on our estate a lot. we'd always shove potato's up the tailpipe then start throwing rocks and bottles and shit at the car while they were in there. after a while of this they got told they couldn't park on that street anymore, so we noticed they started parking at the top of the estate and walked 200 yards to the house. big mistake lol, i don't know what the fuck they were thinking but when they went back to the car it was smashed to fucking pieces.

i guess it depends how much you like her. if you ain't that into her then you just walk away.
but then you guys are talking exactly how i would have when i was a younger man. i've matured a bit now, i don't just make decisions based on emotions or how i will look to others in a given situation.
like you HTS, being made to look a 'cuck' seems to be a big thing for you and i guess i can see why given the situation you just mentioned.
but when we are younger everything we do is about our 'rep', even if we don't realize a lot of it. when you get older you start to realize that nobody gives a flying shit about 'your rep', except you. which just makes the whole thing an exercise in futility.
