i never used to understand gambling addicts, why would people get addictrd to throwing money away. But when you apply this logic to them it makes perfect sense. In their head its all about making money. But the reality is that making money is just a means to an end.

Becuz society makes it so highly taboo and so illegal that it becomes an ultimate thrill. By trying to protect their kids, they are making tham huge targets to those who seek the taboo. Its a shame that society will refuse to realise that the laws and taboos are a perfect example of the streisand effect.
