    I'm not familiar with the case, and don't want to be, but in general with GDPR it's all about personally identifiable information. Once data is anonymised so it can't be traced back to an individual you can do with it whatever you want. This is a practical necessity, because otherwise even counting how many users your site has would be impossible.
