   A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were dogsitting for a friend for 10 days. During this period we both made online purchases with our credit cards over their wifi. After we were done dogsitting, my girlfriend's card got charged from store in another state. She got an immediate email notification, and they cancelled the card and the charges. A couple days later, I had two charges that I didn't make appear on my statement. So I called the bank and had my shit cancelled.
   
   At this point I realized it could be more than a coincidence, and we had both used that same wifi network to buy stuff (on different computers), so I sent a text to our friend warning here that there could be something fishy with her wifi, and she texted me back that her info got stolen as well. Now I think it is definitely not a coincidence, but I'm not sure exactly what is going on.
   
   The only thing I can think of is that someone could be sitting outside with a laptop, or maybe a neighbor, that got onto the network and is using a packet sniffer and decrypting the info they get to steal the credit card information, but like I said I'm not too great with computers and stuff. Anyone got any ideas what's going on?

   The entire notion of "it's their own fault", comeuppance, and just deserts is a gradeschool mentality that some people seem to have failed to grow out of. Who care whose fault a person's poverty or misfortune is? Does it make their suffering any less material, any less bad? Imagine the world where everyone gets exactly what they deserve and the world where everyone gets exactly what they want/need. Clearly the latter is better than the former. Material concerns might make us shape our policy somewhat differently, past performance may reflect future returns so to speak and showering drug addicts in money may not produce the best returns in human well being but the idea that anyone has or can do anything to make themselves a priori (that is, with all else being equal) less deserving of happiness or existence then you've created what is, in effect, a secular religion in the true blue spirit of the abrahamics.

   So if you and I took a course at a university together and I fucked the entire semester and did squat. While you busted your ass and produced A+/4.0 gpa effort. Would you be ok with both of us getting a C/2.0?

    Projection is a theory in psychology where a person defends themselves against unwanted impulses or input by ascribing them to others. For example a rude person might accuse other of being rude ot one who is constantly ridiculed my belive others are being ridiculed. You are in Canada with all that great free government health care. You really should seek help. Matbe a six month sabbatical in a nice facility in the Northwest with no internet eould be a good stsrting point.

    I responded to an ad for a dog that had been rescued and is now up for adoption. The couple that has fostered him said they found him waiting in front of a coffee shop for his owner that never returned. Poor thing hasn't got a single tooth in his mouth. He seems a little dopey and confused but needs a good home. Wonder what I should name him?
