I think most peoplehere boast about white privilege bc its a meme. Most of us here are poor, low income, housebound drug addicts whove been arrested and fucked with more times than we can count. I think VERY few people get killed for their skin, and even stating that considering its an appraisal of intent that we cant possibly know unless the person tells us- is kinda a faulty premise. I think the VAST majority of people are killed by police because they resist, and because many police see themselves as separate from anyone who isnt them- be they white, black or otherwise. Thomas illustrated that fact.
Making it racial is gross. It can be just as much of an injustice without making it about white people victimizing black people, which seems to be an overarching theme every time one of these things pops off. Even when the shooter is hispanic- a la Zimmerman. That should show you where peoples heads are. “He looked like me, so i give a shit!” “The shooter didnt look like me, so fuck that guy”. Or “The shooter did look like me so lets not blow this out of proportion” a la chicago. -

We will have to disagree though. Whites that are killed by cops aren’t killed because they are profiled as “whites”, but blacks are killed for their skin color.
Of course there’s an exception to every rule.
How do you know blacks are killed for their skin color and whites arent? Thats a talking point that elevates black victims. “It doesnt matter that there are hundreds more white and hispanic and asian victims. They werent killed bc of the color of their skin”. -

The protestors here in LA walked down the freeway. Much better way to do shit. Whats going on in MN is a bunch of angry children. And bottom line is they only give a shit because Floyd was black which is kinda fucked up considering how many people are killed each day. But *shrug*
Ive asked 4 people and no one knows who the fuck Kelly Thomas was.
No riots. No one gave a shit. No one demanded “justice”. It never became a racial thing. It comes back to what we talked about the other day about amplifying certain victims.
Fuck those cops though, for real. -

But its just a dead end and every day i work there is just another day working towards nothing. Everyone. i work with is great, but its below min wage and even full time doesnt earn me enough to move out again without picking up a second job.

All around its shit. And i have copd so it literally feels like waterboarding myself all day. Ive been wearing the mask every day since january 5th Im hoping ill get fired out of mercy so i can collect unemployment for a couple months, rest my back and find something that doesnt make me want to kill myself every day in the shower.

The old woman collecting unemployment says as she scolds a minimum wage worker not properly facilitating the return of her doggie backpack to amazon.
I fucking hate some people. Like im doing the best i can. But no one is paying me to stay home. She was like “i have to wear a mask you should too!” Maybe they should imagine what its like to have to do that for 8 hours a day instead of the 10 minutes they have to wear it to go fuck around at the grocery store and post office. 95% plus of the stuff ive seen people come in to do at my work is completely nonessential. I just seriously dont give a shit anymore. If they took it seriously hundreds of people wouldnt be slamming my store to return dog sandals, avocado pool floaties and chapstick. -

I was at home depot with my mom last week and we went down the lamp aisle and I touched every lamp there was (there were over a hundred) just to see if they were the touch ones but only one out of all of them was. But it made me happy to see they still exist.
