   I think thats why i like anything to do with the deep south so much. And why swamp thing is one of my favorite comics. Everything in the south is stories and faith and belief, and being right there butted up against nature. Standing in Bayou Chene feels like being in the fucking Amazon in the 1800s. lol.

   He owned a tractor repair and general store in super rural louisiana, and there was a back room where people would bring in their loved ones to be treated. The whole place was spooky to me as a kid, but then again any place in the middle of a sugar cane field, 110 years abandoned and covered in dust, and weeds, creaking 8n the wind and ready to fall down- is kinda unsettling.
