Daler, in Dutch means something that goes low. It might have something to do with the word 'daal' which means valley. Low German is pretty similar to Dutch. Old English like English from 1000 years ago, has a lot of commonalities with old Dutch too. It's pretty interesting. -

They're special too, because they are 1960's issue Dutch Royal Mint commemorative Rijksdaalders they have two heads of state instead of one. Because i think 1960 was the year Queen Juliana abdicated in favor of her daughter Beatrice.
Also i don't collect coins, that's for geeks. But thanks Sophie from the past, Sophie from the past usually doesn't do anything nice for Sophie in the present. Might as well. Sophie in the present causes a lot of trouble for Sophie from the future. So i kind of deserve it. -

They hate Atheists the most. People of the book(Abrahamic religions that are not Islam) are a little better because according to them at least they believe in Allah, but follow the wrong teachings. Unfortunately Christianity has become weak in the west, but there's pockets. I'm plugged in to a Catholic community through my gf, and while no one would say it out loud the general mood when Christchurch happened was:"Well, see how they like it for a change." I mean that's not very Christian, but Catholics are a little more Old Testament about these things than The Protestants. I blame the general weakness of Christianity on it's religious leaders, locally and in fucking Rome. -
