Sure it does - consumer goods are functional in very few states. There are infinitely more numerous states that exist in which consumer goods are nonfunctional. That may not be entropy in the sense that a physicist uses it, but it's certainly the metaphor they use to explain it to laypeople. -

True, but it increases in power as time goes on and more jedis (through nepotism) obtain more and more high ranking positions.
Also, in 1925, there weren't as many non-manual labor industries for jedis to take over. Hollywood was still in its infancy, there was no television, etc. Technology improving is also responsible for the jedis leaving manual labor. -
