2022-11-07 at 2:45 AM UTC in How to mine an AsteroidNo the shadow of the earth is not when the moon is in New phase when the sun is in new phase it's completely blacked out from the Sun being directly in front of it on the other side. The Earth's Shadow only occurs twice a year as a full lunar eclipse and another twice a year as a partial lunar eclipse which casts Earth's shadow that's only 4 days out of the year the once a month or every 28 days cycle is when you don't see the moon or 14 days before that you see a full moon it has to do with the perspective View of the direction the sun is shining upon the Moon however that being said we don't see the backside of the Moon because it's in an orbital lock which means the same side of the moon faces us so we never see the other side of the moon

I knew that already. We're talking about the current cost of outdated rocket fuel. we're never going to advance if we keep burning that shit to get into space.
there currently are research in plasma-discharge propulsion. we're probably 15 years away from a first successful launch -

You're also not just paid for the loss of life but for the amount of money one makes. so a Dr would get more in a lawsuit than say a person who works at 7-11 or the owner would get more than his employee with 0 investment in the store. Because the family can argue they're lifestyle is used to that kind of income over that of someone who makes minimum wage. -

nothing is pure that is floating out there. it's mostly aggregate like the concrete mix. a little of this and that. sand, rocks, others. -
2022-11-06 at 9:09 PM UTC in How to mine an AsteroidAlso venus isn't that far from Earth. it's closer than Mars. like half or quarter the distance. and it's like an oven on Cleaning Mode. once you perfect this type of operation and make it relatively inexpensive, we could just dump all of our toxic trash on venus. the reason is it would just melt or be turned over into the soil as venus is said to naturally do. it's a relatively smooth surface because the soil is molten and constantly turning in most areas.

Originally posted by Speedy Parker I did a rough calculation. A solid hold asteroid that size would be worth roughly $27,000,000,000.00. The estimated current cost to just return to the moon today would be about $4,100,000,000.00 for a crew of 4. What you're talking about would cost more than the asteroid would be worth if it were made of solid gold and towed directly to earth. Then add in a moon mining colony and some fictional rocket train ferry system FFS.
You think like an autism afflicted 10 year old wanna be a science nerd.
gold would also come down in price but would be plentiful for electronic conductors.
the first one would cost more than it's cache yet that should be done just for the experience. however, in the future, things will come down in price. the high cost is usually due to research costs or fuel costs. but they're experimenting with plasma-discharging forms of fuel for launching vehicles into space. but just like computers were worth millions and now you can get one for 100 bucks refurbished, the same with having a sort of a convoy of crafts coming and going, dropping off, and being refurbished with parachutes and then re-deployed. just like the Navy does when launching jets the space force would do the same. or a privatized network would be involved. no one owns the moon so this could be shared globally.
i like the speckles concept better than a tether and rotate to slow and tow. but the cone catcher would have to catch up to it's original speed and then brake slowly until it stops then tow it back that way. but im not sure how you would then land it gently onto the moon. we don't want liter the moon. I also suggest the far side of it that we don't see. it still gets sunlight, we just never see it so it's called The Dark Side. but it gets the same amount of sunlight -

It's the best way to tip tbh fam. Tip often, but tip low. Lol
restaurants can not pay those kind of wages. No fucking way can a restaurant pay a server close to 6 figures that many make
they would have to impliment the charge into meal. And some do. they put down 20% Gratuity however some customers would just state that they got a shitty server and demand that be refunded.
it makes more sense to allow the customer to pay it. You don't have to pay it, I agree. If the server is a dumb cunt (male, female, they/them) then you write NOTHING For SHIT SERVICE on the 'Cheque' receipt when paying. or even hit them with even more of an insult. 20 cents instead of 20%
restaurants don't profit for the first 3 years opened, and most restaurants often change in-house ownership to create a new brand to keep the place popular. most people burn out on the same Restaurant theme and go elsewhere, so they often "Under new ownership" or change -

2022-11-06 at 8:24 AM UTC in How to mine an AsteroidYes, Carefully Tow it to the moon, fire projectiles to slow it.
the asteroid has to be no larger than say a school bus.
drive anchors into a hard surface. maybe have 3 drones find an area where they each could drive an anchor with a cable attached. have them do it in a triangular pattern from one another. a perfect sided triangle and then have all of the drones grab each their own cable from the other end of the attached anchors. and then wire rope/ coupler with double bolts attached to one long single cable.
I wish I could draw a diagram.
then of course that cable is attached to the towing module/space capsul and then the main cable becomes a teather which you can give maybe half a mile slack. then fly the towing capsul and orbit the asteroid trying to turn it and slow it down before it stops and reverse direction with the orbital towing capsul. now it can tow it to the moon. hover just over the moon the length of the cable plus rock and gently drop it and release. let the mining trucks come in and break it down to its ore compound and fly them back to earth.
enough of these conveyor belt assemblies of loader drones can bring back and dump a large 200-pound sack of raw ore ties to a high altitude parachute to a designated area of the earth and they just recycle the parachute and when they collect enough of them they transport them back to where the conveyer of drones are hubbed.
I mean I'm sure contractor astronaut-mine workers would love to do manual work and rig newly charged drones to rinse and repeat their job
I tried to mansplain this a little bit high. bout to go smoke some more weed. I'm not going to work tomorrow until the evening. -

we're all going to die from nuclear war. you know it's going to happen. Putin keeps threatening the west and it's kind of comical we ignore this as real potential however North Korea is toying and Iran's Iatola is accusing the west of backing a coup.

Originally posted by Meikai No, no, we have one. You definitely posted this in the correct forum.
I mean I guess it could be veiwed this way now because it's been truly kept a secret and finally released as a real UAP (UFO) sightings which is mind boggling because is it a secret black project testing pilot behavior? would they be willing to get trained military pilots to be grounded (which has happened? or violating NDA)
or is there a real group of mad scientist out there who has been creating all kinds of far advances machines that can change directions that would kill a human. are they strictly un-species (controlled) drones?
are they just another existance that's somehow teleported or has gone through a portal into our demension or a time period to observe where they were able to move far behind light speed and end up in this part of the universe where Earth would show up in its orbital path
I mean fuck me. Why Conspiracy again? I'm kinda high as fuck right now. slammed an IPA and smoked some good fucking herbs.
no paranoia. Beer has to be drunk with weed. That's a new fucking rule. They don't cancel each other out but they blend nicely. I thought Weed was supposed to make you calm. I get a bit of high blood pressure for half an hour before it's calming but the beer edges off the half-hour body tension.
I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?
