2023-01-29 at 6:23 PM UTC in Military Genius Zelensky wants Ukrainians to throw molotovs at Russian tanksThat's pretty fucked whoever is doing it. Wonder if that's a war crime. Even for mercs, I'm guessing you are usually hoping that if you die someone can at least ID you and report back to whoever is waiting for you.

2023-01-29 at 9:46 AM UTC in Sirp DearthJust got off the phone with our boy Ronnie in Junction City, says he got like 12 calls today from clients looking to buy sirps and he can't find a single supplier who can commit to a 6 week contract on such short notice. Now I just so happen to know a guy who's sitting on a whole stack of sirps waiting for just such a circumstance to occur. Well bad luck for him, I also know where he's keeping that stash and I'm not as friendly as he thought. You wanna make some money kid?

2023-01-29 at 9:36 AM UTC in Blarb SurplusJust got off the phone with our boy Baxter in FD, delivery of like 20 pallets just got cancelled and supplier won't take em back and management wants them off the lot before the end of the day because there's a whole Grem container inbound in like 6 hours they wanna start unloading over the night shift, I reckon we fill up the box truck and just make as many blarb runs as we can before the sun goes down these, things go for a pretty penny on the open market and at the rate of gas it is only like 13 bucks a blarb, you in? You can keep 30% for loading and unloading.

Originally posted by Ghost I think about making it big and never having to apply for anything else ever again and just live off myself instead of selling labor
but yeah people call warehouse dead end work but I think the 10 or so years i've done it had given me lots of experience with logistics, my resume is good, i'm good in interviews.
I just have zero motivation to define my life by whatever shitty job I end up in and it makes me sad that people have no motivation to build anything themselves and just want "the easy life" climbing the ladder, etc. I don't mind working harder than normal for less money when I'm my own boss, it's usually the times in life when I have the most fun and good memories
Like mushroom picking or selling weed or whatever , enterprise is whats up but you can't pull it out your ass, I spend money like it's going out of style
This is the weirdest stack of cope.
People have extended careers for a bunch of reasons, most with healthy lives don't necessarily need to define their lives by it (but it's fine if they do. It means they got really really good at something, in some circumstance, probably something they're fine with doing.)
If you have slightly bigger goals than just shitting around doing drugs all day while living paycheck to paycheck working spontaneously then you need to organize your life and finances a bit to get some stuff in the order that you want it.
E.g. regularity of income is massive. It doesn't matter as much if it's a big paycheck or not, it matters if it's steady. That's huge for being able to plan stuff and get to a point where you can do better.
Those people save up, then start a business or retire or do whatever they want. They have hobbies they can finance with their work.
But you seem to have built up a bunch of weird nonsense copes to associate with "building a career" as a Source Grapes type factor for something you don't actually seem capable of doing.
A philosopher walks into a cafe and ask the waitress for "coffee with no milk please." The waitress says "I'm sorry sir we are out of milk, would you like no-cream instead?"
You have no freedom in the choice you could never make.
Your only freedom is to act like you never wanted it anyway, which may be true but that just means you're content with being incapable of it.
Maybe you can keep telling yourself that all you ever wanted was black coffee. But how would you know if you were allergic creamers in general?
Have you ever built a sustained career at something that you can rightfully say you're turning it down? -
2023-01-27 at 7:15 AM UTC in What are you thinking about....Manual labour jobs will never go away. We need some way to occupy retarded morons with no useful skills
Next time you are working at a factory or warehouse twiddling a lever all day, realize the amount of shit your phone can do and try to conceive why they couldn't cut you out.
Jobs like Amazon etc sprout lots of entitled complainy retards on the web who don't appreciate the fact that there is stupid work available to them. -
