Donald telling her to come back in a few years, and Bradley telling her to stay here to be abused says everything.

I don't believe Bradley is a pedo, he's worse. He gets off on child abuse, not exactly the sexual kind. He wants to see this girl's destruction. Donald, I believe, looks at teenage girls in a sexual way, but I don't think he would touch them, at least not ones under 16. I think he would pretend to believe them if they said they were 18 and he was drunk.

Alternatively you could take those tropes and own them, proclaim them a laudable display of true feminine power, and cast becoming a beacon as acquiescing to a fundamentally patriarchal conception of how power is meant to be wielded. 🤔

In a world dominated by patriarchy, the former is probably the easier approach.

I'm wondering if what you've known from me makes you think I am capable of creating a cult of personality around me.

Real men don't feel threatened by self-respecting women. You should seek to protect them, not oppress them. Look into your insecurities and childish narcissism to find out why.

No talent should be wasted, and I would prefer to use my talents for creative pursuits, but right now the world needs me to use these specific talents. I don't like it but it's necessary.

Rn I'm stumbling on the decision if I should try to create a cult of personality around me or hide behind a group. External input is welcome.

My character results showing bravery and justice as top two traits and my being an INTJ, a strategist, makes it clear it is my duty to fight patriarchy. I would like to do other things with my life but if I have the talent to do this then I should. I'm the type to be reluctant to step up but will when I deem it necessary. And let's be real, marriage and motherhood aren't in my cards, so I may as well seek power. Fighting patriarchy is the hill I'm willing to die on. I can die slowly in their world or quickly trying to stop it, and I know I can't live in their world.

I'd like to believe I'm wise. When I was a child I was raised Catholic but I remember thinking "God if you're real then please do this or that" so I've always been agnostic intuitively. But it scares me, that some wisdom may only come from knowledge, not from within. If I never studied history, would I vote for the far-right now? What other wisdom am I lacking from lack of study?

It's freaking me out tbh, that if I didn't develop an obsession with Nazi Germany when I was 14 would I still be able to see through this shit now and see where it's going or would I be as gullible as the rest. If I never studied the past, would I be conned now?

Trump may seemingly erase the trans issue, you won't see it publicly, but it will actually be amplified. If women are treated as second-class citizens they will want to identify as men.

Immigrants may be deported or sent to camps, but this will raise civil and global unrest, harm the economy and you'll have to make up for it. You won't see homeless people on the streets, not because they've been able to move up in life but because they've been forced to work on farms for four years in "wellness" camps. There will be a low rate of unemployment because people will be shit-scared of being sent to these camps, to do the jobs immigrants did. Someone has to do them. Which means workers will put up with harsher conditions. Good-bye trade unions. The economy will boom because you'll be slaves.

When you try to enforce gender roles, and say who certain traits belong to, you're gonna get a lot of trans people, because they'll have those traits you say they shouldn't have, and they'll come to the conclusion they're not in the right body.
  15. Dirtbag African Astronaut
Asides from the excess hormones phenomena, the far-right caused the trans issue. All the left did was accept them, and made the mistake of overlooking the root cause.
  16. Dirtbag African Astronaut
Why can't you see some cases of transgenderism aren't an invention of the left, but of patriarchy. When you try to enforce gender roles people will want to identify differently, especially if they view the opposite sex as having it easier. This is your fault. Gender should be abolished altogether. People should dress and behave how they want but identity as their sex. I know in my case it was sexism that made me gender confused as a teen. I didn't want to wear women's clothes because they were all skimpy. Why did the shorts have to be shorter? Why did shirts have to be a crop top? Why did it have to be less? Why couldn't I like girly things and be taken seriously? This is the fault of the far-right.
  17. Dirtbag African Astronaut
I can admit the left has made mistakes. Instead of instantly adopting acceptance toward trans people they should have done more research into the root cause. Some people will have an excess of hormones from the opposite sex, others just want the freedom to dress and behave how they want, not to a gender stereotype. When I was a teen I was gender confused because I didn't fit the female stereotype. I regret that because it's wrong to give men credit for my mind. But when wearing pink frilly dresses means you aren't taken as seriously then there's going to be a problem. When women are treated as second class citizens of course they're going to want to identify as men. This is a by-product of patriarchy. So the trans issue is partly the fault of patriarchy. It's not wrong for the left to have the ideal of acceptance. There's a housing crisis because of immigration but it's not wrong for the left to want everyone to be safe and to include them in a society of tolerance so they become tolerant as well. Then there's feminism, which at its core is about mutual respect and only that, but of course there's going to be misogynists hijacking the movement to undermine its reputation, and misguided people doing things in the name of femism, but that doesn't change the definition or the fact that it is about mutual respect. You need to think more critically. There are no simple solutions, and the ideals of the left aren't wrong. The ideals never change, and individuals don't represent them. There are no easy solutions to world peace, don't be so simplistic.
