GFuel is not a joke
I don't enjoy tobacco but I've always wanted to spend like a week in a small news room hunched over my desk chain smoking for 16 hours a day.

One could model one as a function of the other, but the context in which you said that implied that one determined the outcome of the other, but I don't think it's useful or even accurate to say that the heads side is up *because* the tails side is down; one simply accompanies the other.
To the best of our knowledge, they are both independent "rolls", which are 100% guaranteed to be the opposite of each other.
I think when the alternative explanation is literally impossible without tossing out the established workings of mathematics and principles of logic, I think it's as close to being a physical reality as possible.
Although the indeterministic/coincidence model you've advanced might not be logically impossible it's a weak gain on it, it's so vanishingly unlikely without some kind of coordination as to be trivially dismissable. The probability of this coincidence holding are so close to 0 and get worse with each experiment conducted. In fact it's probably more likely that each measurement taken was a statistical anomaly as to violate Bell's inequality as it is that entangled particles are just coincidentally observed as being in opposite states which this degree of consistency. The article you linked actually mentions this:
There is another objection to the experimental tests that, at least so far, nobody has managed to get totally around. We measure a spin combination of, say, zero degrees and 45 degrees for a collection of electrons and then measure another spin combination, say 45 degrees and 90 degrees, for another collection of electrons.
1. The idea of a non local variable being responsible for the seemingly random outcome of quantum events is such an overwhelmingly huge special case that would require tearing down many, many walls of already established, mathematically and experimentally supported science upon which we have built existing science. For example, the entire relativistic model of physics.
True, but there's really no way to accept experimental results in QM without overturning some element of orthodoxy in physics, indeterminism certainly does and at least as presented it doesn't seem to offer any satisfying explanation.
2. The non-local hidden variable, if it indeed exists, also cannot be the explanation for why a particle's wave function collapses in a specific way. Even a non-local variable would fall into the same trap.
Why not? As I understand it Bell's theorem operates on the assumption that we can measure spin at two different angles independently (without one measurement affecting the other), if there is a non-local variable we can explain the violation as being a result of measurement: measuring spin at one angle changes measurements of an entangled particle's spin at a different angle.

Nutmeg was the first drug I ever did, even before getting actually drunk for the first time. Didn't enjoy it. Haven't done it since.

I wonder how many people would get this pic, I think most people under a certain age at least know bundy exists but I've never actually heard of doing nutmeg as a drug outside of a totse community. I'm sure it's broader than that but this is fairly high level degeneracy.

Site not secure?
I'm of the opinion that a self signed cert is worse than no SSL at all, self signing encourages people to ignore warnings or worse acknowledging untrusted certificate authorities, it's a false sense of security as far as I'm concerned. At least with no SSL people who care should understand there's a risk of MitM.
In any case, letsencrypt is now issuing free certs, which is cool, https is now working. Serving http alongside because I'm not convinced everything ever (especially anonymous sessions) needs SSL, but if you're signing in I encourage you to use it, I will.
Your browser may still refuse to show you the happy green lock of warm-safe-feelings on some pages since users can embed non-SSL images. If this bothers you you can disable images either from your user profile page or through your browser.

Recommend me an animu.
Another: Hands down the best horror offering in anime. People go nuts for Shiki but it's shit and it art is shit compared to Another. Atmosphere out the ass, very mind-fuck-y/psychological, doesn't cuck you on the ending. One of the few entries in the horror genre, anime or otherwise, that has characters that aren't dumb as shit while maintaining a sense of mystery throughout (as opposed to the usual stupid protagonists or survival-horror angle where the fear of the unknown element is lost at the point someone figures out the big secret).
Bakemonogatari: Supernatural romance that plays against all the usual tropes of that genre. Slow moving and atmospheric, hot and cold with the fan service angle. "Artsy"
Usagi Drop: Tragedy/super-cute heart-warmer. Loli bonus, might want to pick up the manga since the anime cuts out before she goes all delores on the protag.
Yuyushiki: Carve your heart out with cuteness slice-of-life, significant yuri themes. It's so artificially sweet that it wraps back around into being an interesting exercise in genre excesses that dances between nihilism and the existential absurd. Or just cute girls doing cute things that's cuter and girlier than any other contender. Depends on your outlook I guess. I think of it as being to SoL as KlK is to action/fight anime but a bit more subtle.
