a ship that size is relatively small and easy to tow away. the reason theyre letting it stuck there is to drive up the prices of commodities, maybe for the benefits of a certain party.

They don't even have an excuse. They just fucked up and drove it into the bank.
The canal obviously isn't maintained well either, since apparently grounding of ships on silt has been a thing. There is insufficient margin of safety. -

they are saying that Gas prices will get Jacked up in places like the UK for maybe a year or two to pay off this dimwit captains peen mistake. but what I dont get is he didnt draw the penis in the canal, he did it killing time until it was his turn to ship along. so what the fuck happened? was there a gust of wind or did he literally try it again while piloting it in the canal itself? whatever it was, hes in massive trouble and his company will have to fork over a 1.2 billlion dollars for every day its stuck. its been stuck 3 days now. thats about 20 years of shipping profits probably -

just like how airplanes stall under a certain speed, ships lose their steering if theyre going too slow.
