Today I'm just gonna take your word for it. I don't want to spark another debate.
But at least respect my opinion, as a friend, I do not like finny's posts, and, more importantly, his CURRENT posting is not even on par with the shoe spammers.
I'm so trying to avoid another debate right now.
But, this whole Finny vs Lanny thing is... GOD DAMN it's just petty and unnecessary. SHIT I'm trying to get my buzz on and have a good time, but it's hard not to take an opinion in all of this.
It's LITERALLY dividing this site apart.
It might one day be the reason for its termination.

I have definitely considered the potential scenario wherein I am that last person left who has:
1. The interest (and thus incentive/motivation) to keep the dream going.
2. The technological know-how.
3. The resources to pay the monthly server fees.
I may be stuck with the burden of creating Totse's FOURTH iteration (I'm not counting DFG's site, not out of a lack of respect to him, but because this one seems to have "won" against his for whatever reason).
And, when considering infinityshock (AND INTINITYSHOCK ALONE!), I have started to fear such a responsibility. -

Yes, he seems to have been posting more dumb shit recently. But I think an important part of this shit posting fiasco to remember is that it seems that it was done in protest. He was protesting Lanny through shit posts. He didn't hurt anybody. Nobody was forcing anyone to read anything. He didn't ruin any lives. He was just fighting the man, he was just fighting the system, albeit in his own unique way.
And as far as I know nothing is preventing him from creating a new account. As far as I know he can come back here.
As I see it he didn't really deserve to be banned, but since his ban is inconsequential this is a fruitless conversation. -

I don't know how I can make this any clearer in just plain old words in a post here, but...
WellHung, at one point, seemed to absolutely loathe me. I couldn't figure out why, but you know what? I didn't try to get him banned. I just played back by dissing him. What else could I have done?
Phantasmagoria is like... the guy checks every fucking box on the "reasons to dislike someone" checklist, but I would NEVER stand for him being banned.
I 100% stand by the right for people to state any kind of opinion from among the following:
1. jedis are operating some kind of conspiracy.
2. Black people are genetically inferior.
3. Sex with young children should be legalized.
4. NUKE EVERTHING!
I just don't care about WHAT someone is saying... it's more about HOW OBNOXIOUSLY they're saying it.
Infinnityshock, AND ONLY infinityshock, has actually reached a point that that I found myself having to consider potential limitations on free speech. -

Please don't get me into the whole slippery slope argument.
Man, I have spent WAY TOO MUCH time debating in my own mind (while waiting at a bus stop, or standing in line at the grocery store, etc) contemplating THAT EXACT ISSUE regarding all of this...
But finny, was, ultimately, BREAKING THE RULES.
There are so few rules here that it's kind of a special accomplishment to get yourself banned here.
I'm not trying to argue that banning finny is an easy thing to do. But we HAVE TO DRAW A LINE SOMEWHERE.
How can we prove quality of a post?
How can we prove spam?
How can we prove anything?
We can't.
So administrators have to make judgment calls.
And, no matter what anybody says, I stand by Lanny's call.
And not out of some kind of brownnosing BS. But because I know what it's like to host a website, and I know that I would have likely done THE EXACT SAME THING if I were in his position and I had my own infinityshock. -

There's free speech, and then there's spam.
There is a distinction.
