Kinda wish they had these when I was a kid, would have been into it. I had to work hard to break my table tapping habit. -

You'd better have pet it, that sounds adorable.
Also, I've read about the streetlight thing, and I can think of a plausible mechanism. I'm sure there have been many extensive discussions about this online, I distinctly remember multiple people mentioning the same thing.
It's likely based on the mechanism that determines when they turn on, which is likely based on light levels.
Amusingly what this means is essentially that the whiter/pastier you are (chalk white works best for this effect), which increases the reflectivity of your skin, the more likely it is to occur. Same with the clothing your wearing. On a particularly dark night (new moon) it could well be enough to cause this effect.
Ever seen a particularly white person in a dark part of your village out at night during a full moon? Some people are so white you can spot them a good distance away, which is sorta funny. It's like the polar opposite of how really black people have natural night camouflage.
Originally posted by reject When I looked back on the first street it happened it was just pitch black and creepy as shit.
A realistic explanation is it was almost midnight and they probably turn off the street lights to save money and electricity or whatever
Read this later. The fact that it was pitch black further supports it. Bretty funny.
I doubt they turn them off to save money, this would be a major hazard for pedestrians, animals, and vehicles.
Oh, well I'll be, just saw bling's vid. Could well be the case, although my theory could also be true. I doubt it's a good idea, although a proper analysis would be very complex.
The fact that it was happening one after another, and if it was before 1AM, could tilt it in favor of my theory. People have noticed the same thing happening before that late at night, and they come back on some time after you walk past them.

2017-05-25 at 1:20 AM UTCI remember in middle school we had to do a case study of a song that means something to us so I wrote a few pages about the deep meaning behind the cryptic lyrics of triple 6. I was originally gonna do slop on my knob but some faggot rattoxed me before I could even get started.
Got an A though, I aced all my English courses along with science, history. I was a B math student showing up once a week, physical eduction and ironically the computer science course were the start of my academic downfall, I had the two easiest classes and I skipped both days every day, never went to class or met any students. I went to maybe 10 classes before I dropped out of school for good.
I was such a rebel.

Damn, I was hoping, actually anticipating, that you were going to link to the speculation Dargo (professional psychologist) and I had about you being on the autism spectrum/having Asperger's/high functioning autism. -

I was going to respond to this last night, then it led me down a small wormhole watching a few videos and reading some comments before I eventually fell asleep.
As far as the shotgun vid it didn't have quite the effect on me like it seemed to have on many, not to suggest I'm more badass or something because of that, because I truthfully WANT to be affected.
With that one first off the fact it isn't in the US already diminishes it's level of emotional impact. When it's closer to home it... Uh...hits closer to home. Then I read the translation and it put me off a little more, like one of the kids said 'oh man her parents are gonna be so mad!' and it just made me feel like the kids didn't even really care either.
It was still a good one to watch at least once. I believe I watched it thrice. A comment below then referenced to the dash cam audio/video of a passenger getting smashed and killed with a flying brick through the windshield and the ensuing audible reactions from the passengers.
That one had a little more impact on me. You can find the link easily if you haven't already seen it, I'm on my phone 2 lzy2get it. :)
Anyway I like that little subreddit. I may go there more often. It did lead me to a skinning and beheading video which I was surprised I hadn't ever seen given the pretty extreme nature of the content.
Thank you. -
