I've grilled her on this and she doesn't like it but she will suffer it because i will it so. So i asked; What do you believe? That God turned on the engine and the rest just came to be. Kind of like God lit the Big Bang and everything else followed. And she was like; Yeah. So i told her, then you're a Deist. And she told me no i'm a Catholic.
She's very sweet otherwise though bless her heart.

The Christians you speak of are Protestant, like most Christians in the US. The Netherlands is divided through the middle. Calvinist and Lutheran protestants in the North, Roman Catholics in the South. Generally speaking.
