Yeah like everyone else has already said, you gotta do what you gotta do. Is this really the first pet you've ever had to put down in your life? I kept Chootie alive longer than I probably should've because I wanted to believe she could get better, but she couldnt, and I was definitely selfish.
I feel bad looking back but its over now and she did die in my arms at the vet and I'm happy it went that way rather than me just finding her dead.
When we put down our 14 year old Samoyed, Loki, I was 22, and he was the dog I grew up with. I didnt live at home anymore so I wasnt "as close" to him as I was when I lived at home, but obviously he was my nigga doge and we loved each other just the same. I just layed with him and petted and touched every part of his body except his pean and crinklestar and said goodby and I love you about 9000 times.

No Mq, never had to put a pet down. Had a dog get hit by a car when I was young, but that’s about it, and I was small.
My son is 22 now, and he’s bummin too. He’s going with us.
G, I didn’t make the appt yet but it’ll probably be Monday or Tuesday. They said they could get us in☹️

If I was as feeble as her I’m sure I’d rather not be around.

I didn’t think this thread would turn into a euthanasia thread, but I guess it has.
Guess what spectral, I’m pro euthanasia for humans as well. It’s quality not quantity. You haven’t a clue what I’ve seen in hospitals, what end of life care looks like, life support, vegetation, wondering if someone is even in there. Tubes coming out of every orifice, and if there’s not enough holes, they’ll make one. Your lips and tongue crust up and crack open because you can’t close you own damn mouth. Someone has to suction the phlegm from your tracheotomy because you can’t even cough for your own damn self. Oh and how could I forget about having a tube in your penis and asshole to catch the pee and poop. Then you get the luck of being stuck in some motherfucking nursing home where the staff get paid $9 an hour to clean you up and take care of you. Do you think all of them care? Fucking NO. You’re lucky to find truly caring staff in a nursing home that doesn’t pay its employees for the stressful job they have to do.
So fuck yeah I’m pro euthanasia, and if you question that, fuck you!
Pull the motherfucking plug, thank you!

You didnt think a thread about euthanizing your pet was gonna turn into a thread about euthanasia ?
Oh you are the living end. What a card. What a treat.

No I didn’t, but I see your point Mq. I just thought people might tell me about their experiences with their pets end of life.
Never thought for a second that there were anti-euthanasia for animals people out there.
Having said that, I wouldn’t have opened my fat mouth and called someone who is, and will be grieving soon, a murderer. I have more couth than that.

If I was in constant pain, and miserable, I still dont know that I would necessarily want someone else to decide for me to pull the proverbial plug.
Like comparing to putting an animal down, since for the most part thrh cant ultimately tell you YES or NO I want to die or dknt want to die, you have to presume. But MAYBE the animal wants to just live in pain until it dies naturally. Like 99% of animals in nature do.
Haha 99%.
I want stats.

I feel that it’s the humane thing to do, or a dogamane thing to do.🤔

I'm just kidding probably. That's the case I would make for why it might be murder to kill an animal that is suffering just because you assume it wants to die, and though it obviously OBVIOUSLY does, it still might not. That's what spectral is probably suggesting anyway. I disagree.

Mq,
You didn’t have to explain yourself. I knew you were playing devil’s advocate. I got chu!😛

I would rather suffer than be dead. You can't inhale meth vapors while dead.
I have wanted to cut my life quick many times and I was there mentally but I knew if i stayed alive I could get high again
