Yup, she’s in doggie heaven tonight.☹️ My son took it really hard, they pretty much grew up together. Got her when my son was 8.
She got 2 chicken breasts for dinner last night, and at treat time she got slices of cheese while the other girls got milk bones. Didn’t get to stop and get her a steak, but we stopped on the way and got her a double cheese burger. She was loving that. It’s been a looooooong day.🐕

Like I said earlier in the thread, I’ve seen way toooo much in the hospitals. That’s why I have a living will. Doesn’t mean I won’t suffer on my way out, but I won’t be plugged to a wall.

Just remember all the fun memories you had the privilege of experiencing, you would have never had the opportunity to without her tech.
I look back and laugh at all the fun times me and the 2 dogs i grew up with had. I wouldnt trade it for anything. Dogs teach us alot more about life than most people really take the time to think about.
I also found that talking with family members about the funny things they did helped alot after our 2 dogs were gone.
You did the right thing, regardless of what anyone says in this thread

i've had a few cats accidently die in their old age and i just happened to be near them at the time. just coincidence and all
only had 3 dogs in my life...one lost its tail fucking around the house and got caught near some bar stools in the back of the house fucking idiot. hardly ate or was vomiting often after that...vets couldn't explain it at the time. died within 5 months of lost tail. 2nd one had cancer in the brain or was just crazy by the time it was 2...psycho fucker..dad put him down somewhat gently in the backyard. 3rd was alright first few yrs than just got sick, sicker, and choke on its own vomiting...i was nearby...i think i cried a lil or maybe the fact my brother beat the shit out of me that day idk so long ago
never got overly emotional about any of their deaths. quite detached from it all in fact. if i had a cat or dog now...and dying i'd find my louisville slugger that i still have from back in the day...and batter it up good
