What happens is it's so cold that when you hit the surface and plunge under, the shock from both the impact and the freezing cold water causes you to instinctively gasp and draw in a deep lung full of water, drowning you.

How far of a drop is it from the bridge to the water?

Yeah. Not necessarily every time but yes it's just human instinct to gasp when plunging underneath cold waters. Maybe it's a little more avoidable when you know you're about to hit. I know there are stories where planes crashed into icey rivers and although the plane crashes at a slow enough rate to where people could've survived, they died because of that initial draw of breath upon being submerged in the icey waters.

Depending on how long it's in contact with the saliva or how much saliva there is, nitrate is converted to nitrite by an enzyme in the saliva. The nitrite is more carcinogenic, although ascorbic acid counteracts this to some extent. Since he drank it though, it's unlikely much of it was converted.

Or sausage. Unless it specifically says no nitrates or nitrites. Elsewhere, eat them with something that has a lot of vitamin C.

EDIT: I'm bored and I can't drink a beer yet, it's too early in the day. I needed an excuse to post some autistic type knowledge.

Joey Chestnut has never had any issues.

You responded to a post where it was clarified that he took nitrite not nitrate, then you went on to describe how nitrate can be converted to nitrite, and implied in your last sentence that he did indeed drink nitrate even though none of it would have converted. Seemed odd. The torvalds wasnt necessary I just felt like torvaldsing.

That's a nice obituary. Are you fonder of it because he was Canadian? Interesting the ND aspect.

    22. That's my favorite number. I wish we all died when we were 22. Just automatically. You live your life knowing you die at 22 no matter what. And you can have kids when you're 5.

You’re still a kid when you’re 5 lol shut up

I actually didn't know that although I feel he may have mentioned it to me many moons ago. I just liked the guy a lot and we would talk via PM and post in HB on totse. He worked at a radio station too and would post grain and pork belly prices which was kinda funny to me. He really seemed like a genuine and gentle person (although another picture of him exists brandishing a large scimitar or machete) who I couldn't imagine anyone having a problem with. Tbh I'm kinda glad I can't find the news article on his death because it was pretty uncharacteristic and he shouldn't be remembered that way. Really just seemed like a Montana Meth story with a tragic end

edit: he kind of looks like a good friend of mine too. I hate it when good people die young
