If it's anything like where I live in the u.s. they cannot turn your electricity off during the winter months. Its illegal. However in the spring they will turn your power off until your bill is paid in full. Problem solved for a few months if its like it is here

There's no real meat on millennials. The legs would be worse than low-budget supermarket chicken wings - skinny and really nothing on 'em. Best bet is soup or stew, or maybe bait for larger prey.

My slumlords office said they would send maintenance out tomorrow to look at my heater.
My bill is ridiculous. I checked all my passed bills and the rate hasn't changed.
There is just no fucking way this dump ass apartment is gonna run up a heat bill this high.
I just am not doing it.
It started out $40-50 a month in the summer time and now its $281.
If my god damn heater is going to cost 5 times as much as everything in my apartment (with an air conditioner in summer) combined then I am just not able to live here anymore and will be moving this weekend.
I told them I want the lease tore up and to be put on a month by month basis after having had to deal with so much bullshit since we moved in.
From my ceiling falling down, to my basement being flooded for a week straight, from them letting a drug dealing pimp terrorize shit, to having to constantly run off homeless people taking shits and shooting dope in the garage, to when it was 30 degrees and raining and they left the windows open in the apartment above mine FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK! thats a big part of my damn heat bill Im sure but its still just too fucking high.
They gotta do something cuz I can see outside with my damn door shut by looking at the frame.
My windows are single panes of glass and there is suppose to be another pane that helps insulate it but they are all broken and bent and wont slide into place. Most are missing.
I have had to have them come out multiple times to fix every issue because they never get it right.
A lot of times they just say they will be back and I wont see them for a week.
Im pretty sure the sand nigger jedi that owns the place doesn't give a fuck about any of it.
Pissed me the fuck off that with 2 full time jobs and overtime we cant pay the bills in the shitty dope apartment.
By the time the government steals all my money with taxes so they can go fuck children on tropical islands, and by the time all the utilities and some clearance spaghettios, we are broke.
I do all our finances and constantly check and double check and triple shit.
I know we have been losing money pretty much every month since we moved in.
Im 29 and doing all this shit for the first time so finding out what my priorities actually should be sometimes comes after I impulsively buy something retarded.
Anyways, I been working diligently to tie up loose ends and start saving money.
Last month was the first month I though we actually did alright but in retrospect is was probably just cuz of soy.

    LONG STORY SHORT…
    I am broke.
If this is the way it is going to be and I am stuck with it (which I am pretty sure is going to be the case) then I got to get us out of here asap or we will surely go under withing a month or 2.
I dont want to move at all but if I cant afford to stay here then I feel like all I am doing by waiting around is just drowning slower.
This is got damn retarded as fuck.

Could be the morons at the power company put two apartments on the same meter, too.

It’s just the type of apartment he lives in. It’s an old building with high ceilings and hardwood floors, let alone single paned windows?......aw hell yeah your apartment is a heat guzzler. You can always budget your electric so you pay the same every month. At the end of the yearly cycle, if you have overpaid, they will refund you; and if you have underpaid, they will add it to your budget.

If you do move, it would be in your best interest to check the prior years electric bills of the apartment you’re about to move into. You can easily get that info.

It’s a correct bill, they even told him the last residents paid $300 last January.

There's thermal plastic sheets you can tape over the windows in winter and that keeps a lot of the heat from escaping the unit.

You can tape them over your head too.
